That means: be prepared for more challenges than in a standard yacht charter. Waves, wind, rain, night passages, some offshore – all this might happen. But still not too much.
Mid-summer brings optimal conditions for high-latitude sailing, though ice and weather conditions ultimately dictate our route. All activities are planned with safety as the primary consideration, especially regarding ice navigation and polar bear presence.

ROUTE HIGHLIGHTS
Deep fjords surrounded by towering peaks and glaciers. The area includes historic marble quarries and stunning glacier fronts, providing diverse opportunities for exploration.
The world's northernmost permanent settlement and an international research station. Historic departure point for several North Pole expeditions, now a center for Arctic research.
Kross-fjorden and Kongs-fjorden
Ny-Ålesund

Scientific Context:
Visits to research stations provide direct contact with scientists studying Arctic environments. We learn about ongoing climate research, wildlife monitoring, and the role of Svalbard in global environmental studies.
Arctic Wildlife:
The northern waters offer prime opportunities for observing Arctic species in their natural habitat. From seals and walruses to polar bears and whales, each day brings possibilities for wildlife encounters, always maintaining responsible viewing distances.
Ice Navigation:
Regular work with ice charts and satellite imagery becomes essential for route planning. We learn to identify different types of ice formations and understand their implications for navigation. The constant daylight allows for careful observation and safe passage through ice-prone waters.
Polar History:
Following routes of historic Arctic expeditions while visiting preserved sites. The journey connects past exploration efforts with current scientific research, offering perspective on centuries of human activity in the High Arctic.
Totally refitted and equipped for autonomous expeditions for more than a month, ready to safely accommodate crew of 10 to the world’s most remote waters. Equipped by radar, watermaker, AIS, heating system, Starlink, washing machine.
