The journey starts in the fjords and islands of southwest Greenland. These are the landscapes where green and rocky valleys come close
to glaciers that fall directly to the sea. After several days of sightseeing, we embark on a challenging 1600-mile offshore connecting
the icy waters to the warm Gulfstream current and islands of the Azores.

His navigation skills developed through formal certification (RYA Yachtmaster Offshore) and 20,000+ nautical miles of practical experience in challenging waters. Dmitry has skippered 1000+ mile ocean passages in harsh conditions and navigated both Arctic ice fields and wild tropical archipelagos.

Navigate through the treacherous waters of the North Atlantic, embarking on a challenging voyage from Greenland to the southwest shores of Greenland. Prepare for long days at sea, battling strong winds, towering waves, and frigid temperatures, as we make
our way towards our final destination.

Offshore:

This leg of our journey spans approximately 17 days, making it one
of the longest and most demanding stages of our expedition.
From exploring Greenland's fjords to crossing the vast expanse
of the North Atlantic, every day presents new challenges
and adventures.

Extreme Conditions:

Rated 5 out of 5 for its extreme difficulty, this stage presents
a formidable challenge for even the most experienced sailors.
From battling icy waters to braving fierce storms, every moment demands unwavering determination and resilience.

Duration:

Prepare for an immersive oceanic experience, with days spent navigating through open waters and nights under a canopy of stars. With no land in sight for approximately 12 days, we'll rely on our seamanship skills and teamwork to safely navigate the unpredictable seas.

One-of-a-kind sailing boat

Totally refitted and equipped for autonomous expeditions for more
than a month, ready to safely accommodate crew of 10 to the world’s most remote waters. Equipped by radar, watermaker, AIS, heating system, Starlink, washing machine.

On board Perola do Mar, we sail with a crew of up to 10

• a captain,
• a wizard (first mate responsible for comfort and care),
• and up to 8 crew members joining us for the journey.
