A big 10-days sailing journey around picturesque volcanic Atlantic islands. With very good winds in the sea, and a strong flavour of Africa on land
Picture this: craggy peaks hiding lush green valleys, ideal for epic hikes on the island of Santo Antão. The cultural hub of Mindelo on São Vicente, where the rhythm of music and dance fills the air. The windswept dunes and pristine beaches of Sal and Maio. The surreal volcanic landscapes of Fogo and Brava. All of this, combined with the soulful beats of Cape Verdean music and the warm hospitality of its people, awaits!

These islands are really a marine extension of Sahara, yet they were never part of the African continent. All of them are volcanic in origin, but they are very different in age, so that their landscapes are diverse in the extreme. We'll also delve into the cultural legacy, as we explore the colonial ruins of the picturesque Cidade Velha, the first European settlement in the tropics, and immerse ourselves in the homeland of the legendary barefoot diva, Cesária Évora. Consistent trade winds ensure great sailing in the pristine waters of the archipelago.
Weather permitting, we won't miss the chance to witness the sensational Carnival in Mindelom which is like no other in Africa, featuring a sultry blend of African beats, Latin style, and Brazilian allure. And last but not least, we’ll visit the region right in time for the whales’ breeding season. So, hop aboard and set sail with us!
